Tunisian Crochet: Increasing in the Back Hump of the Stitch
I like this cord with gimp! Adds a nice color and texture!
Can you do a video of this but with colorwork? I am making the Dreamscape pattern from Expression Fiber Arts and id much rather do this in tunisian! I absolutely love your videos! I don’t know how I just now found you!
Nail polish works. Use a detail brush and not the brush that is with the nail polish. build up in layers, first one just over the join, allow to fully dry, then widen each subsequent layer. I have three layers on mine and it works great.
Would have been nice to see it laid out straight. But from what I can see, it’s very nice. 👍🏻
Thank you! This has helped me so much
I love your patterns! I would really like to buy a jenkins Loom & your hairpin lace book. Are they available anywhere???
Like the Sugru product. You can find it online. However, given the uses and that each packet is single use because it sets between 12/24 hours once it hits air it is not an economical product. It shows the Sugru being used to fix a phone charger cord. Cheaper just to replace the cord than get this stuff it seems. I sorta found something similar on Temu...have to UV harden Temu product, which is beneficial in the sense that the product won't set until UV exposure instead of air. Not sure if the Temu stuff will work since I just looked it up and haven't worked with it myself.
A few layers of nail polish work too. First layer just over the join with each subsequent layer covering a wider area, drying fully between application. Separate detail brushes are better than the one supplied in the nail polish bottle. Decent quality nail polish too.
Use the hook properly woman. Stop the maddness of looping the yarn over........its a hook, hook the yarn. Idiot.
Thank you for this tutorial! Lovely work!
I just randomly came across this video... I'm prior service US Army 15 years. There are so many practical applications to this with paracord and survival techniques. Especially after watching some of your other videos!!! I love sewing & carpentry. (I'm not your typical manly-man! 🤣) Keep up the the good work! You have a NEW subscriber!!! 🤟🏼🇺🇲
This is a brilliant approach to doing broomstick in the round! However, I am doing a hat-top down so I think I will work a flat piece of broomstick and attach it as a brim once the rest of the hat is finished-but I still think ur approach is genius-ty for sharing!
Have you used the 4 prong lucets? Could you do a video on them, and perhaps with a couple patterns?
Part of the fun is torturing people?!?

Easy to use and easy to learn THANKS SO MUCH
Don't need to fork. My grandma tied a string to chair and showed me how to do this by hand to keep me occupied while she babysat me. Using only your hands is absurdely fast when you get in the rythm. When you get into it you can complete mutliple braids per second because you essentially hold tension in one hand then with the other you reach through the loop, grab the next piece and pull, pulling tightens the not then you just make sure you slip your hand in the correct side of the loop you just made to grab the next length. Bonus: This it hands down the best way to tie an anchor, or anything else that bears a load and benefits from a quick release!
Brilliant!
🙏
👍♥️♥️♥️Thank you
thank you so much for posting this. For larger pieces in the round we should also be able to use more than one hook right? As a knitter I use 2-3 double pointed cable needles for knitting in the round so I should be able to use 2-3 shorter cable hooks for Tunisian in the round as an alternative to the magic loop method. I haven’t tried this or fully thought it through yet but I’m eager to try. So many things to learn.
How did you get this recording? I’m looking for season 2 Epi 14, I was on that episode and would like to see it.
I like to buy this product where can I buy it thank you
our videos are interesting. Unfortunately very often the subject is out of range. Too bad
I’ve never Tunisian crochet it but I want to!
Would twine work?
A very good video, thank you. You have a beautyful lucet by the way
I really like the instructions. Nice and clear.
What's it for? Got any finished products to explain why anyone would just make a long cord?
Earlier this year, I decided to crochet a purse for Autumn & finish it with braided 3mm multicolored faux leather straps. Problem is, I'm not great at braiding. But my passion for crochet led me to learn about lucets through Furls! They've been sold out of theirs, so I just got my 1st lucet via Etsy today! I was trying to figure out how to include the different colors of cording I have when I saw your tutorial for 1 gimp lucet cord, then this one, & I've watched both. Thanks so much for giving me another way to consider including the fun strapping I got for this project! When I first conceived of the project, I had no idea how I was going to accomplish it, but I knew there had to be a way to do it. It's not rocket science (though braiding & weaving can get quite intricate). Thanks again for doing your part to keep artistry alive!
Thank you for the simple instructions, close up look and explanations. Best video I've found so far
But, then what do you do with it? You just have a bunch of side loops once you take of the worked yarn...can you add to it by width? I look at this and think, why?
Woodglut has a lot of designs to choose from.
Loud music no explanation this no tutorial sad
I am using a mini hairpin lace frame to braid my size 3 cord for eyeglass holders while I'm waiting for my lucet fork.
Disappointing that you did not show how to load the lucet before you started to show the technique

I have to do this for the pattern I'm knitting. I understand when you're showing this
“It’s beautiful; it looks like a fork.” 🤣🤣🤣
How long is the thread or cord?
So beautiful.
if you are left-handed would you follow the same instructions? i can knit right-handed as i grew up with all right-handed people but i taught myself to crochet left-handed by looking at the directions in a mirror. thank you for your videos!
What amazing garment. Could you please tell me where the pattern is ?
Pull through 3? I watched you pull through 4.
Remember her saying that she calls the joining stitches as one loop but two threads at 5:20.
Interesting method👍☺
Brilliant! Thank you so much!
Thank you for this, I got a lucet and only knew how to make a cord, I love the added bits you can do, and now I have to try to find some gimp here in australia.
I think "gimp" is anything you stick in between the working yarn/string.
When someone like me watching the video is clueless and you say something like it’s “ it’s self-explanatory” please remember that I’m here for you to explain it to me thank you.
She starts with the thread pre-loaded on the lucet.
Where can I order on line a hairpin lace frame?
So you use the created cording in jewelry?
The cords can be used for all sorts of stuff - shoelaces, corset ties, purse straps, button loops (AKA: frogs), tying people up (don't try this at home kids!), anything you can think of for using a cord for. I even saw a video of someone sewing it into a basket (AKA: coiling). It's uses are only limited by your own imagination. 🤔😄😎
